Teen Service Week Chicago

Founded on four pillars: CommunityPrayerService, and Simple Living, Teen Service Week is a transformative experience for teenagers. A seven day Catholic retreat opportunity that occurs each summer in Chicago, Teen Service Week is sponsored by 8th Day Center for Justice

First year participants will join a Level One team that will engage in direct service. As the media bombards us with serious problems occurring throughout the world, it is hard to not feel overwhelmed or powerless. You will explore the call to take a stand for justice regardless. You will learn about the need around us and how you can make a difference in your community.

Every year, through our Student Leaders program we help connect 225 community-minded high school juniors and seniors to employment, skills development and service. They’re awarded paid summer internships with local nonprofits such as Habitat for Humanity and Boys and Girls Clubs of America and participate in a national leadership summit in Washington, D.C.

Student Leaders is part of our ongoing commitment to preparing young people for a brighter future. If you or someone you know have a passion for improving the community, we hope you'll consider applying. DEADLINE: January 27, 2017.

Notre Dame Vision

Notre Dame Vision is a series of 5-day conferences that includes dynamic large group experiences, reflective small group time, profound liturgies, and excellent music. Here, 70 of our own college students will lead you in an exploration of God’s call and the ways in which you can respond to this call with your own gifts.  You will have a chance to immerse yourself in the spiritually and communally rich environment of the University.  You will benefit from some of the best speakers from across campus and across the country whose stories, witness, and humor will challenge you to expand your imagination and deepen your faith.
